Top Ten Books I Really Want To Read But Don’t Own Yet

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the Broke and the Bookish!

This week’s topic is books we want to read but don’t own yet or otherwise have a copy of (since I get most of my books from the library). Many of these are continuations of series that I haven’t picked up yet, often because I am waiting for them to finish up so I can binge-read the series at once! As in previous weeks, please feel free to leave a comment but forgive my inability to respond while I am away!

1. Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson- Alright, I do own the first book but haven’t read it yet. I expect that I will love them, based on recommendations from multiple people and a very good friend, and so I already know I want to read the rest of the series!

2. Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo- The final book in the Grisha trilogy is definitely on my to-read-soon list, but I just got my hands on the second book and don’t have the third yet.

3. The Girl With All the Gifts by M. R. Carey- It just looks like a really creepy, fascinating book and I have wanted to read it for awhile but don’t have a copy yet.

4. Unhinged by A. G. Howard – This is the second book in the Splintered series and I haven’t bought a copy yet, even though I really want to read it. The first book was great, but I almost want to wait until the third book is out so that I can read the second and third right in a row.

5. Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness – This is the second book in the All Souls Trilogy, and the third recently came out, so now I really want to pick up this book and the final one so I can read them together!

6. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn – I really want to read this one, and I’ve been on the library waitlist for ages, so I think  I just need to buy my own copy. I’ve got to read it before the movie comes out this fall!

7. A Natural History of Dragons by Marie Brennan- This one sounds great, and I loved the sample I read online, so I just need to buy my own copy and read it.

8. The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker – This is another one that I’ve been on the library waitlist for a very long time, and I should just go and buy it already because I really want to read it.

9. A Mad, Wicked Folly by Sharon Biggs Waller – I’ve checked this out of the library a couple times but always seem to run out of time to read it, so I think I just need to buy myself a copy.

10. The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey – This sounds like a very exciting, end of the world, action-adventure book and I’ve had my eye on it for awhile.
